A Strange Blue World
A Strange Blue World
Eerie dreams of desert folk,
Uncertain times, chimera smoke.
The scene is clear, he steps inside
And lifts the veil in which she hides.
Deepest shadows, electric claws,
The darkest rain and metal doors.
With rendition, gossip grows,
Pain and shackles, time it slows.
Insurgents speak of more to come,
Oppression is the rule of thumb.
They orchestrate a futile war,
The stubborn rich, the angry poor.
An olive tree, graffiti wall,
Outlooks are so very small.
Until in time the Long War ends,
A new Glasnost and firmest friends.
Then who will be the enemy
To struggle with in harmony?
It's all so false and far from sweet,
A strange blue world in search of peace.
